The Plumber's Life For Me

Not sure why Darnel hasn't posted this yet, but homeboy recently purchased him not only a Toyota T100 truck, but also a FourWinds Eagle Camper. After a few upgrades to the truck and domicile, this little scamper is ready for some cush vacating. If there is one thing that we all know about Darnel, is that he will find a way to make whatever he does as comfortable as possible. What a lush.

Here's Darnel and Daniel Boone (seriously) inking the deal.

What's worse than a Rainbow Gathering?

...OK, there's really nothing worse, but the next best/worse thing is a Volkswagen Bus Rally. Now before you go on about how I had two buses myself, let me remind you that I do not own a tye-dye shirt, have white boy dreads, or practice hula hooping for future festivals. I do however love the idea of sleeping in a pimped out van beside whatever I damn well please.

On this occasion, the 2011 Everybus Rally came to a local state park and Darnel, Mr. Steve, and myself decided to take a peek at some wagons. Here's what we saw...

(A total refurbish. Pretty Sweet)

(Soft tops next to Hard tops? This world is crazy)

(One of the sickest ones out there. Hand painted skull work. Seldomwright, eat your heart out)

(The hordes. Shit strewn about. People selling parts that I assume fell off on the trip to Everybus)

 (Mags)

(Cleanest set up out there. Tight)

(Get a load of the tent on top of vanagon. It also has a window hanging air conditioner. Ingenuity.)
(Also, total rust bucket bus belonged to the only dudes with the most solid parts store. Huh?)
(This step up is something I can get with)

(Just like my last one (Hitler's Revenge). Of Course mine didn't have such good stickers on it.)

 (A uhaul camper! Sweet.)

(I feel like such an idiot for not inventing this first. So practical, So efficient, SO NECESSARY!!!)

( Even the Canadians showed up.)

(Everybody go, hotel motel holiday inn, say if your girl starts actin up, then you take her friend. I present to you the VW MOTENT)

 (The chuck wagon's circle)

(We sniffed out these two gems hanging out away from the party. Super clean.)

(Lurkin' camp to camp.)

Wonderwagon!

I've been through a number of vans. Seen some good ones come and go. Love 'em or hate 'em, the Toyotas are keepers.
Me and the family posed for this ad back in '87. How was I supposed to know I'd still be rolling deep twenty three years later?

…designed for active families on the go. More spacious than a station wagon, Wonderwagon drives like a car, turns on a dime.

Got the current whip with 113,000 miles on the dial from the original owners. No doubt it was born to run.

Hitler's Revenge

Oh the potential. If I weren't cancer to all things mechanical, I might've fired up a meal on that stove or grabbed a brewski out of the fridge. This was a sweet ride for awhile. The band toured NC in it, of course we live in NC, but that's irrelevant. Whatever, it's someone else's problem now, sucker.
