It started with an idea sparked by Bob's trips in the mountains of NC. Travel light, ride hard, rest easy. I'd been thinking about it for a couple months. Slowly piecing it together in my head. One morning at work, probably around 6am, I mentioned it to Joe. He thought it a good plan, wanted to know when it would come together… then asked if we could do it right away. The Sierras are indescribably beautiful. And there's no way to experience them like being on a bike. The roads feel remote enough, the riding tough enough, and the skies expressive enough.

PSYCHEDELIC SPANDEX
Seldom hit paydirt with the new Freewheel kits. I've never done acid but riding behind Seldom and Woodpile while they played grab ass the other day sure seemed like a bad trip.
But for real, if you are willing to go out in public dressed like that, you might as well look fly.

Bad tan lines

I love this photo. Pretty sure this was Nebraska. Or was it Missouri? Summer of 2000 we rode bicycles from Vancouver to Greensboro with a great crew—including PhePhe here. Rain and snow in BC, hail in Montana, retirement party in Nebraska, catfish in a tree in IL, spank the baby in MO, party in Louisville, Hazard county, felt downhill all the way from Boone to the triad. Ready to repeat.
