YOUR FIRST AND THIRD HOMIESEXUAL EXPERIENCE

I found this looking around on youtube if you haven't seen it. Hung out with Matt Houston last week, it was great to see him. He regaled us with tales of his recent bass acquisitions. Good to see him on the Rickenbacker. Flannery on the skins, Nikki and Art repping as well. Good times, great oldies.

BURNIN' DOWN THE HOUSE

I'll see your Bikini Kill and raise you a Riot Mädchen. Light 100 candles in a highly flammable abode with few accessible exits. Drink a beer, but save some for firefighting.

Rumor had it that Greensboro PD tried to recruit a German exchange student to translate a Mädchen flyer calling for the "final solution" against patriarchy.

Condemned

I believe the day was December 17th, 1997 around 10 am the day our house was condemned.

THE MUD, THE BLOOD, AND THE BEER

Brown Mountain Lights. Probably 1995. Whatever elements may have been lacking from a live musical performance were more than made up from the sheer chaos of watching your friends do things you thought them not capable of.

bike punx

A flyer for the sake of flyering. I miss those multicolored copiers at Kinko's.

A little back ground for those unknowing. Between '93-'97 use to make flyers for shows that took place in our living room. From time to time we would churn out some propaganda to indoctrinate lost and impressionable youth (much like ourselves).

Get out your sticker printer paper and start making some stickers.

January 21st.

On this day 400 years ago, these four bands played our living room. I know it was such a long time ago because Rights Reserved was still a band. I might have been the only person to like EDDY. Emo perfection.

Hopefully in the future Maggotbrain can help put together a whole Stewface post because they so totally deserve it. But, they rip as well.
I guaran-damn-tee ya that the canned food collected went to the house.

Skate Party USA

Mark it down as one of the things I miss, a summer night party / skate seesh. On numerous occasions we had parties at the house with a possible band, a full on session, and good friends drinkin' in the night. Some came to skate, others to get wasted. Oh the good times.

JC died for us, dude.

Maggotbrain and I recently unearthed a grip of flyers from back in the day chronicling the time when we hosted shows in our living room. Starting at the end of this year and running through 2011, I will be posting said flyers and stories, pictures, maybe some video, and (if I can figure it out) audio tracks of some of the bands.  What would be glorious is if any of you esteemed viewers had any stories or pictures from that era (1993-1997), please send them to me (via email). I will do my best connect the dots of past shows and you's people's stories. This will be a year long project, but don't wait, holla at me if you gotta the funnies.

Apparently a last minute show, there's no date. You don't see many colla-bro-tive flyers these days. This one has CRCKT's collage, Maggotbrain's and my handwriting. Team Work. The rumor on the street is that Assfactor 4 never made it to this show.

Color Sessh

Color this time. Advancements in technology. This shit lives on as one of my best memories of being alive. There was never any question when we moved into the house as to whether or not we should build a ramp. We simply walked through claiming rooms then right out the back door to survey the grounds. I can't wait for time travel to go public. I'm going back here.
1. I believe this to be a backside disaster with some sort of flipper thrown in somewheres. I'm sure that I landed it.
2. Victro huckin' a lofty floater
3. Stannnn going backside ollie. Growing some wings.

awww, so sad, so mad. Sulking.

1. Zooms with the ape hangers
2. Hobby lookin' on. That damn porch looks like a deer stand. I still can't believe that peterson lived on the back porch for several months.

Shants and the boys. Who wants to start this band?

I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Wiener

Once upon a time the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile came to town and a handful of us came out to protest their blatant cover up passing off Lips and Assholes as food to the poor and oblivious masses. Someone must make a stand. But first, let me take the borrowed pig outfit and session this ramp for a sec. Claude Van Stan dons the coveted moment at chez Dick St. while Tucker snaps off a few gems of the past.

B&W Sessh.

Black and White Session. This must of been around 1994. We had a sweet 12' wide, 4' tall mini in our back yard that got schralpped daily.  At one point someone not from our house named the ramp, "Creeping Death". With the first layer on the ramp being a really flimsy aluminum sheeting, I can understand why. This set of photo's is just a glimpse of many photo's to come of our crew that used to skate it. These are my brothers . These are my friends.

Stanimal. A fixture at the house that rocks. Yes that is a bedroom on the porch, what of it?

Frontside Smith VJB

ZDB gearing for a throwdown. Speaker in the window, probably pumping out something emo.

When someone asks you what a backside floater looks like, direct them to this photo. Stanimal Chin huckin' a lofty backside ollie. I miss it.

Don't be fooled by my fancy footwork, I have been known to land way sketchier tricks. This I believe was a 5-0 to fakie failure. One of many. I was distracted by the Faulkner graffiti.
