Condemned

I believe the day was December 17th, 1997 around 10 am the day our house was condemned.

  3. Wow, those photos rule. I have never seen any of them. I always imagined it being colder when it all went down. Dark days for sure. The end times.

  4. Oh yeah... and what's with this cat anonymous? Sometimes it's fun to guess, but it ain't that hard to through a handle in with your comments. Fools should try representin'. Esse Quam Videri is all I got to say about that.

  5. Who's the grump? Yeah, the house in question and the scene are indeed dead, have been for some time. I don't think remembering one's personal history constitutes an attempt to bring something back to life, which your comment would suggest—"leave it that away." No one called for a reunion, a goddamn plaque or statue, or any award.

I was around back then. I miss a lot of the people and the community that existed at the time. Do I wish that time and place back? No, but it's always reminded me of what's possible and I've been able to carry a bit of that forward.

Perhaps you were making a flippant comment and were trying to be humorous? While I don't "get" it, I could respect that. If you have some pent up frustration about some shit that went down fifteen years ago and just can't wait to express yourself anonymously over the 'nets well, I definitely can't respect that.
